I'm not one of those people who always knew I wanted to do this.
I'm also not one of those people who "never looked back from there" when I became hooked on the arts. I look back often to remember where I came from, my humble and hard-earned beginnings, and why I began this arduous and incredibly rewarding journey as a performing artist.

Playing sports was my world growing up: I was on ice skates at 3, riding a bike by 4, began baseball at 5, ice hockey and soccer by 6. I spent every season of my childhood and adolescence training and playing any sport I could; you name it, I played it. I thought my athletic prowess on fields, and courts, and rinks was going to be my key to success. I never would have thought that my career as an athlete would take me to the stage.

My first foray into theatre began in a small lake-town in New Hampshire at age 6: my family enrolled me in a summer theatre program because it was cheaper than daycare. I still have fond memories of the excitement (okay...terror too) it brought me, but I never thought I'd come back to it.

When I was 10, I began my journey as a musician drumming in the school band. Drumming quickly developed into an obsession, and music began competing with sports as the primary focus in my life. I couldn't stay away from the connection with expression. Soon drums weren't enough. I began teaching myself any instrument I could get my hands on: first bass guitar, then acoustic and electric guitar, then piano, next trombone, and ukelele, and finally to sing.
It was drums that led me back to theatre through the orchestra pit. I played drums for a musical then was convinced by a friend to perform onstage again. And I like music, I fell HARD for theater. I started to give in to this journey of the arts and let it take me to where I am: a dynamic, commercially-successful performer.

My unique approach and extremely diverse skillset coupled with my passion has allowed me to succeed despite starting "behind the curve".

I strive to transcend the boundaries of an actor by constantly learning new skills, instruments, and abilities:
a renaissance man with a performer's skillset.
